Club History

Ipswich Ravens Volleyball Club was founded in January 2014 to provide an another option to improve fitness by participating in a fun sport.

The club evolved to develop volleyball players of all abilities and to increase participation in volleyball in Ipswich and Suffolk. Ravens is a popular option for volleyball players across the country and holds a reputation for being encouraging and a place to learn volleyball.

In recent years Ravens has seen tremendous growth in numbers and in the rate of development in our members. 

 

Our Mission

> to provide a supportive environment in which members of all ages and abilities are offered a quality volleyball learning experience that is fun, safe, welcoming and friendly. 

> encouraging a positive attitude to allow our players to develop their skills, confidence and love for volleyball. 

> to ensure all members are represented fairly through decisions made by the committee on behalf of the club

> we aim to help all members, whether players, coaches, or officials, to reach their full potential by providing competitve experiences and opportunities at a local standard and pathways into regional and national standard.

> supporting the development of volleyball within the city of Ipswich, Suffolk and nationally.

 

Ravens expects all members to contribute to the ethos, reputation and smooth running of activities through high levels of manners, respect, consideration for the needs of others and sporting behaviour.
